Exo Terra Crested Gecko Kits

Exo Terra have put together a great kit full of everything you need to establish a great home for your Crested Gecko. Based upon extensive research of the Crested Gecko\'s natural habitat the New Caledonian Islands, everything in these kits has been chosen to replicate their natural environment.

These tall terrariums are ideal for Crested Geckos. They are tall enough to provide a good space for the reptiles to exercise and behave naturally. The unit has double front doors for easy access and maintenance. Ventilation is important for health and hygiene, and thanks to the full metal mesh lid and front window ventilation, air can circulate freely.

To create the best light within the unit, Exo Terra include a Day and Night LED Light Fixture. Ideal for Crested Geckos as they do not require a UVB light source, these energy saving light units will provide around 80% more light than traditional sources. The daytime LED\'s produce a pure daylight effect, allowing you to see your reptiles in the best light. However, with a simple touch the light switches to a blue LED. This is perfect for nocturnal reptiles as they need some light to behave as naturally as possible.

The included background fits the terrarium perfectly. Designed to replicate a tree trunk overgrown with mosses, it creates a natural ambience within the tank. A pack of Plantation Soil is included in the kit. This will provide the best base for your Gecko, as he can burrow and behave as he would do normally. The soil has been produced to be as close as possible to that of the Crested Gecko\'s natural home.

Also included is a piece of unique New Caledonian Kanuk artwork that echoes the history of the Crested Gecko\'s natural home. The piece incorporates a water and food dish, and a hide. So not only does it look great, it provides a place to shelter, eat and drink, saving space within your terrarium.

A Bird\'s Nest Fern is ideal decoration for the terrarium. One small fern is included in the small kit, and one small and one large in the large kit. This artificial plant adds both texture and colour to the scene. Of course more plants and decor can be added to create your own unique look.

To monitor the humidity and temperature within the terrarium, an analogue thermometer and hygrometer are included. They simply stick on to the glass walls for easy access and readings.
