An absolute treat for tortoises is Tortoise Candy with its delicious fruit and vegetable pieces, as well as flowers. All in all a mix of favorite foods that are particularly well accepted. The components of the food are very gently dried to preserve the valuable, natural vitamins and minerals.

Note: Even though this food has a high content of crude fibre it should only be offered occasionally to reward the animal, because of the fruit content.

Feeding Recommendations: Tortoise Candy can be fed dry or mixed with water. Add 20ml of warm water on 4 tea spoons of Tortoise Candy and let it swell up. Stir the food and serve it to the animals. Remove uneaten food immediately. For dry feeding simply place into feeding dish and pay attention on availability of sufficient amounts of drinking water. Tortoise Candy should not be offered more than 1-2 times a week due to the high content of fruits. This does especially apply to the Mediterranean Testudo species.
